General Information

The Head of Department: Full Professor, Slavica Ražić

The Department of Analytical Chemistry deals with the development and validation of analytical methods at the following instrumental techniques: spectroscopic (FAAS / FAES, ETAAS, ICP - AES, XRF, IR, Raman, fluorimetry, derivative spectrophotometry); separation (HPLC, TLC, MEKC, CLEC, SPE); electroanalytical (potentiometry, voltammetry - "stripping" technique), and the enzyme-based methods. The above methods are applied in the analysis of synthetic and real samples - drug, serum, urine, dialysate, tissues, plants, the soil, wine, water, food, in order to determine the pharmacologically active compounds, the metal/non-metal, type of the element; the application of corresponding chemometric methods to analysis of the results.

◾ Specialist studies for the Health of Sanitary Chemistry

Teachers of the Department of Analytical Chemistry provided required textbooks to students (one university textbook, two practicums, exercise and authorized scripts), for both practical and theoretical instruction.

Teachers of the Department of Analytical Chemistry continued the education of students within scientific research (the papers presented at appropriate conferences and awarded by the University).
