The teachers and teaching assistants at the Department of Physical Chemistry and Instrumental Methods deal with educational, scientific and research activities. Learning about physico-chemical phenomena is of use in scientific disciplines studied by pharmacy students as a part of vocational subjects in higher grades. In the individual practical work students are introduced to a number of different analysis with a lot of instrumental techniques and methods used in the laboratory. Students will use them within the scope of vocational subjects, in both study programs – Pharmacy and Pharmacy-Medical Biochemistry, as well as later in practice.

As a part of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Instrumental Methods there are:

  • Integrated academic studies of the following subjects:

Physical Chemistry, Instrumental Methods, Colloid Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Instrumental Methods, Colloid Chemistry

In addition to the teaching at the integrated academic studies in both study programs at the Department of Physical Chemistry and Instrumental Methods the teaching of the subject Instrumental Methods is conducted for:

The teachers are also engaged in teaching at:

  • Doctoral studies:
    • Drug Analysis (Spectroscopic Methods in Drug Analysis)
    • Bromatology (Selected Instrumental Methods)
    • Pharmaceutical Technology (Physico-chemical Phenomena and Instrumental Methods)
    • Pharmacognosy (Selected Chapters of Instrumental Methods)

Scientific research encompasses a very broad and heterogeneous array of scientific issues in the field of pharmacy, physical chemistry and chemistry and is realized through several projects funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia, as well as through some international projects.

The teachers of the former Institute of Physical Chemistry, now Department of Physical Chemistry and Instrumental Methods, have achieved a successful cooperation with other faculties and scientific research institutes at home and abroad, as stated in their individual biographies.

The teachers and teaching assistants at the Department of Physical Chemistry and Instrumental Methods have provided the essential educational literature for the students (textbooks, practicums, collections of tasks, books for exercises, authorized scripts etc.) necessary for theoretical and practical classes.
