Teachers of the Department of Pathobiology are engaged in teaching and scientific research.
The Department of Pathobiology was founded in 2018. Until that period, the subjects of the Department of Pathobiology were part of the Department of Physiology.
Within the scientific work, employees of the Department of Pathobiology are engaged in research in the following areas:
- neuroinflammation induced by autoimmune damage
- changes in the immune system caused by aging
- cytopathology of Alzheimer's disease
- evaluation of DNA damage in different types of disorders in vitro and in vivo
- the protective effect of natural products derived from plants and fungi on cellular macromolecules; DNA, protein and lipid
