As part of our research activity on the chemistry of allenes, the group has developed a route for the synthesis of marine alkaloids Longamid B and Stylisine D as well as their derivatives. By using transition metal chemistry on an appropriately designed substrate it was possible to form a bicyclic core of marine alkaloids in a stereoselective manner. The paper was published as a cover feature in European Journal of Organic Chemistry.
