CV

Jelena Rupar was born in Požarevac in 1990. She graduated from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Pharmacy in 2014 with the cumulative grade point average 9.39. In 2013, she received award as part of the Annual award for the best students of Integrated Studies at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Pharmacy. After graduation, she completed an internship at Community Pharmacy Požarevac. After completing internship, she passed the professional exam for Master of Pharmacy.

Mr. Pharm. Rupar was engaged as a research assistant at Department of Physical Chemistry and Instrumental Methods at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Pharmacy from 2015 to 2016 where she was elected as a teaching assistant in April 2016.

She enrolled in doctoral studies in the 2015/2016 academic year at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) and in the 2016/2017 she enrollen in doctoral studies at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Physical Chemistry.

She participates in practical exercises for several courses (undergraduate level): Physical Chemistry, Colloid Chemistry, Instrumental Methods.

She is a researcher in the program IDEAS, project “Utilization of interplay between inflammation and cancer in the development of compounds with anticancer activity” (since 2022). She is a member of the research team of the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Pharmacy within the research topic “Design, synthesis, investigation of physico-chemical and biopharmaceutical properties of pharmacologically active compounds” (since 2020).

Scientific research – Application of voltemmetric methods for testing the interaction of DNA with compounds containing acridine as well as for the synthesis and testing of physicochemical and biopharmaceutical propreties of compounds with potential pharmacological activity, which basically contain acridine. Also, electrochemical synthesis of alginate gels, which are crosslinked with divalent ions.

She has published 6 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and had 11 presentations at scientific meetings
