Valentina Marinković was born in Leskovac, and graduated at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, in 1987. She completed her master studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade in 1997 in 1998, she received the annual award of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce for her master's thesis.

On December 26, 2003, she defended her doctoral dissertation in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade.

She passed the specialist exam in health specialization - testing and control of drugs, in October 1993 at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade, and in September 2019 she obtained the diploma of the academic specialization Pharmacoeconomics and Pharmaceutical Legislation.

She worked in the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry ZDRAVLJE- Leskovac from 1987 to 2010, where she worked as an analyst and drug control specialist, and as a quality director of ACTAVIS Serbia, she worked from 2000 to 2010. From 2010-2015. she worked as the Regional Director of Quality for the Western Balkans, in the multinational pharmaceutical company ALVOGEN.

She acquired the title of research associate at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade in 2000, and the title of assistant professor, she acquired in 2005 at the University of Nis, Faculty of Technology in Leskovac. At the same faculty, she acquired the title of associate professor in 2010.

She acquired the title of assistant professor for the scientific field of Social Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade in 2011, the title of associate professor in 2015, and full professor in 2020.

Valentina Marinković is a member of several domestic and international associations of pharmacists and experts.

In the period from 2006-2009. she was the president of JUSK's Scientific and Technical Committee - Pharmacy, and since 2018 she has been the president of JUSK.

He is the president and member of several scientific and program committees of international and national conferences in the field of quality and pharmaceutical regulation.

He has been the head of the academic specialization in Pharmaceutical Management and Marketing since 2015. He has been the Head of the Department of Social Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Legislation since 2019..
