Radica Stepanović-Petrović finished primary and secondary school in Belgrade. She received her bachelor degree at the Faculty of Pharmacy (University of Belgrade) in 1985 and achieved a grade point average of 9.79. In addition, she simultaneously reached the final year of studies at the Faculty of Economics (University of Belgrade). Received her masters degree in the field of cardiovascular pharmacology in 1990 at the Faculty of Pharmacy (University of Belgrade), and her PhD degree in the field of neurotoxicology in 1995 at the School of Medicine (University of Belgrade). She was promoted to the position of assistant professor in 1996, associate professor in 2002 and professor of pharmacology in 2007.

Radica Stepanović-Petrović is involved in the realisation of integrated academic studies in pharmacology and pharmacotherapy. She also takes part in the realisation of doctoral academic studies in pharmacology, specialised professional studies in pharmacotherapy and academic studies in pharmacotherapy in pharmaceutical practice. She is the Head of the specialised professional studies program in pharmacotherapy at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Radica Stepanović-Petrović is editor in chief of the national journal Arhiv za farmaciju. She is a member of the Pharmaceutical Association of Serbia, Serbian Association of Pharmacologists, Serbian Neuroscience Society and the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).

Her fields of scientific research include pain pharmacology, cardiovascular pharmacology, and neurotoxicology. She has published over 150 research and professional papers in these fields including more than 40 research papers in international journals. She is a reviewer in certain national and international journals.

She is an editor and co-author of a textbook in pharmacotherapy and a co-author of a handbook of pharmacology. Co-authored chapters in 3 books of national importance. Also, she is a co-author of a Serbian translation of a pharmacology textbook.

Radica Stepanović-Petrović is the Head of one scientific project (Project No. 175045) funded by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.
