CV

Milica Miljkovic-Trailovic was born in 1985 in Krusevac, where she finished an elementary and a high school.  In 2004, she enrolled Faculty of Pharmacy, study program pharmacy-medical biochemist, where she graduated on September 17th, 2010. PhD thesis titled “Oxidative-stress status in blood and lipoprotein fractions in patients with chronic kidney disease” (PhD thesis supervisor: full professor Jelena Kotur-Stevuljevic) she completed on September 30th 2018, at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. She finishedSpecialist academic studies - Biochemical diagnostics at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, Serbia in 2020.

Since January 2011, Milica is involved in a project called "Interactive role of dyslipidemia, oxidative stress and inflammation in atherosclerosis and other diseases: genetic and biochemical markers," funded by the Ministry of education, science and technological development of Republic of Serbia.

Milica is employed at Department of Medical Biochemistry - Faculty of Pharmacy since 2014, first as a teaching associate, then as a teaching assistant (2016) and recently (2020) she was elected in title assistant with PhD.

Since the beginning of her enrolment at the Department of Medical Biochemistry - Faculty of Pharmacy, Milica has taken part in carrying out practical classes on the following subjects: General biochemistry, Medical biochemistry, Biostatistics and Laboratory diagnostics of metabolism disorders in the study program Master of pharmacy and General biochemistry, Biostatistics, Clinical enzymology, Clinical chemistry with molecular diagnostics and Application of information technologies in medical biochemistry in the study program Master of pharmacy-medical biochemistry.

Within the scientific activities, she has participated in various studies related to the field of medical biochemistry, especially analyzing oxidative stress in different diseases. As an author and/or co-author she has published a total of 40 scientific papers and 49 presentations at international and national conferences. These works have been cited 347 times according to the reference index base Scopus. She is a reviewer in several international journals.

Milica participated in several international projects: European research program COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), Scientific Domain: Biomedicine and Molecular Biosciences; Action: „HDL: From Biological Understanding to Clinical Exploitation" (BM0904) for the period of 2010-2014, then ClinMARK: ’good biomarker practice’ to increase the number of clinically validated biomarkers for the period of 2016-2020.Starting from 2012, she is also participated on bilateral international project between Republic of Serbia and Republic of Slovenia called: "Diagnostic value of new biomarkers for the early detection of atherosclerosis in patients with terminal stage of renal disease." Also, she participated in project of bilateral cooperation between Republic of Serbia and Republic of Croatia: „Novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to complex genetic disorders” in the period of 2011-2014.
