Nevena Ivanovic (by birth Medakovic) was born in Kraljevo in 1983, where she finished high school and moved to study pharmacy at the University of Belgrade. She graduates at the Faculty of Pharmacy in 2008 with the average grade 9,42 (out of 10). After graduation she proceeded to PhD studies in Food Chemistry and Dietetics at University of Belgrade.

Since October 2008. Ms Ivanovic had worked as a research assistant at the Department of Bromatology, where she participated in student classes’ preparation and realization in following courses: Food Chemistry, Food Safety and Control I, Food safety and Control II and Dietetics. In July 2010. Ms Nevena became teaching assistant in narrow scientific field course Food Chemistry and Dietetics. Ms Ivanovic is the member of the student's graduate exam committee.

Since 2011. Nevena Ivanovic is enrolled in two projects of Ministry of education, science and technological development in Serbia.
