Mr sc. Gordana Tasić (born Obrenović) was born on 29.10.1973 in Sarajevo. She graduated from Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade in 1998. at the Department of Organic Chemistry, under the mentorship of Academician Professor Živorad Čeković and defended her Master thesis at the same Faculty, in December 2009, under the mentorship of Academician Professor Radomir N. Saičić. Her Master thesis, entitled "Stereoselective synthesis of α-hydroxy-β-amino acid" dealt with the synthesis of α-hydroxy-β-amino acids from natural chiral precursors, compounds of importance to medicinal chemistry. Currently, she is in her third year of doctoral studies.

Her areas of ​​interest include the synthesis of natural products and organometallic reactions of transition metals.
