CV

Dr. Gordana Tasić, PhD (nee Obrenović) was born on October 29, 1973 in Sarajevo. She graduated primary and secondary school in Belgrade, afterward she continued the education at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Chemistry in the 1992. She graduated in 1998 with a degree in Organic Chemistry.

Since October 1998, she has been employed at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Pharmacy, first as a teaching assistant and then as an assistant. She completed and defended her master's thesis at the Faculty of Chemistry with a grade of ten. She obtained the academic title of Doctor of Chemical Sciences in 2016, after defending her doctoral thesis: “Cyclisation reaction of allyl alcohols catalyzed by palladium complexes” under the mentorship of Prof. Vladimir Savić and Prof. Veselin Maslak. In April 2017, she was promoted to assistant professor at the Department of Organic Chemistry.

She participates in the implementation of classes in all mandatory subjects of the Department of Organic Chemistry, as well as in the organization and realization of classes for the Chemistry Entrance Exam. She is a mentor and a member of the commission for the defense of graduation theses, as well as mentor of student research projects in cooperation with CNIRS. She is a co-author of a Practicum in organic chemistry for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

She is a member of the Serbian Chemical Society. She has been a participant in the project within the program of cooperation between Serbian science and the diaspora "Design and synthesis of Hsp90 PROTAC degraders as potential anticancer agents (DeSyHPRO)" since July 2018, funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.

So far, she has published 13 papers in international journals, 4 in journals of national importance and several presentations at international and domestic conferences.

Area of interest: synthesis of natural products, reactions of organometallic complexes of transition metals, medicinal chemistry.
